Luan Quach began his journey in fine arts at the young age of 9. First as a student of Ly Khac Nhu, a world-renowned Chinese watercolor artist from Southeast Asia, Luan continued receiving training from various styles of artists throughout his childhood
Luan currently devotes his time towards commissioned artwork, exhibitions, and teaching workshops. With extensive trial and research, Luan’s specialty now lies in portrait painting using an oil dry brush technique. His art is done both in realism and impressionism styles, aiming to create timeless portraits with a modern twist.
Luan is an award-winning artist, most recently receiving the Certificate of Merit from the Canadian Portrait Competition in 2016 and 2017. He is also a juried member of the Portrait Society of Canada. Luan is excited to share his love of art and inspire creativity with his local community.
